Gilbert High School is committed to creating an enriching educational environment that promotes student achievement and success by addressing individual student needs, integrating technology, and promoting safety throughout the school.  GHS is a comprehensive high school teaching over 390 students in grades 9-12.  Because of the strong academic, elective. and extracurricular programs which serve students' needs and interests, many of the GHS current students and graduates are recognized each year for their academic and athletic achievement.  There is a strong sense of tradition and pride in GHS by the alumni and community members.

 

Recently, Gilbert High School has had many accomplishments in academics, fine arts, and athletics.

  • The class of 2011 attained:
    • Total number of college credits earned: 1135
    • Average number of college credits per student: 14.75
    • Percent of students earning college credit: 95%
    • Percent of students earning 20 college credits or more: 23%
    • Percent of students earning a 30 or higher on the ACT: 10%
    • Average composite on the ACT: 24.1
